Build rapport with the student. Always make them feel unique and special. Ask open questions just to hear how well they can speak to language and to get to know their personality. Always ask how can you help them and what do they need to improve.

I prioritize an open-door policy, allowing my students to feel at ease when they want to discuss questions or concerns with me. I think this availability really helps to build trust and enhance our student-teacher relationship:)
