  • After teaching children & adults of all ages, online and offline for 10+ years, I have found that most students choose a teacher according to his/her: 1》Style of teaching: For language learners it is extremely important to learn in an environment where they can feel comfortable and at home. And the teacher they choose make up the majority of this environment. If they don't feel at ease, confident or happy taking classes with a certain ESL Teacher, they will give up or try out someone else. 2》Specific Teaching Experiences: Yes, qualifications are taken into account as well, but I found that learners usually settled for a teacher with extensive experience related to their interests, career or future life goals. 3》Feeling & Seeing Real Improvement: A student that is able to see and feel that he or she is truly making progress with improving English language skills, will certainly stick with the teacher who's causing these improvements.
