Figure out what interests your student and use that to engage them in materials. For example, if they like to travel, read an English travel guide together. If they are a budding entrepreneur, watch a video about business tips in English. The possibilities are really endless here!

Add interest of your students into the lessons, make them feel comfortable to express opinions and thoughts with you, ask questions and have engaging activities in your lessons. Even small activities. For example, I always add a question of the day at the beginning of my lessons so it gives a warm up activity and the student gets a chance use what they learned.
