Hi! As we all know there is British English and there is American English. So, for British English I would suggest “Bridgerton”, “Queen Sharlotte” and for American English “Desperate Housewives”, “Gossip Girls”. These are the top series for me.
Hi! do you want to talk about movie?
what topic do you want? can i help you?
English is split between British English and American English of course. So for British English, two series (film also), Call The Midwife and Downton Abbey. These are very typically proper English accents.

Some of my personal favorites: 1. Gossip Girl 2. House of Cards 3. Killing Eve 4. Homeland 5. How to get away with murder I recommend going for something along the lines of realistic fiction that incorporates everyday language. Whether it’s drama or comedy. Also series could be more effective as opposed to movies, there is just so much more material for growing your language along with the series.
It always depends on the student's level. YouTube shorts will work perfect for that, just search for the TV series you need. VERY often it already comes with subtitles. :) IMPORTANT: we always need to know what our student's sense of humour is. I had some students who LOVE friends and others who find it tasteless and boring. Also, some students might find some jokes offensive, so please be sure to avoid any sensitive jokes/topics. I'd recommend: - The big bang theory (but obviously the parts without physics :) ) - The Simpsons - Lie to me (the best for vocabulary on emotions :) ) - The office - Scrubs - We bear bears +any TV series / Movie your students like.
