  • English, very easy to learn

  • According to research conducted by the US Dept of State, the easiest language to learn is Danish, with just 24 weeks of fulltime study to be able to hold a conversation about complex topics. Second place goes to Spanish (25 weeks) with French coming in third with 30 weeks. Many people have claimed that English is the easiest, but I beg to differ. While English may seem to be easy to learn, it is extremely difficult to master. Why? Well, the sheer flexibility of the language, nouns can become verbs and verbs can become nouns, our spelling which is horrendous. If that was not enough, English is an intuitive, non-reflexive language, which means we do not have to refer back to the subject of the sentence, or object for that matter! The last and possibly the most confusing thing about English is that a lot of emphasis is put on connotation as opposed to definition.

  • English is the answer without doubt. It is spoken everywhere so you can easily practice besides it is the language of business, aviation and computers .

  • English, it's straight forward

  • English is the language of business because it is more universally spoken. There are many historical reasons why that is. However, I wouldn’t say it is the easiest. It depends on your native language. For example, if you speak English, Mandarin might be the most difficult because they have 2 sounds that are not in the English language; or Tagalog because the order of sounds might cause tongue twisters, or for you to trip over your tongue. I speak English, so I’m used to having a set of rules and order in speaking. Therefore, Arabic might be the most difficult for me to learn since the language is very relaxed on rules.
