As a teacher I like to do some activities where they can participate and they fêlé they are playing at the same time they are learning, dynamics are so good to keep the attention, examples with things the students like and ask them if they have opinions or suggestions for the class, pupils love when teacher take care about their opinions.
I get creative by having a theme for each lessons. Use fun background. Making students more involved by calling on students and ask questions or get their opinion on the topic. Have students vote on a correct answer.

Students respond faster to things they are interested, set your grammar, vocabulary and activities around topics they personally like, ask them what are their hobbies, what to they like to do and for sure all of them got their own interests.
