Language is a skill, you should to use it constantly, and it depends on how often you review it and use it. As a Chinese teacher I can help you review and learn new things at the same time. We will take about 1-3 lessons to learn pinyin and 1-3 lessons to learn characters. And then you need take a long time to learn new words, grammars and expressions. During this time, you must not only learn it, but also find opportunity to use it. For example, watch Chinese TV show, listen Chinese music and so on.
要看你想达到什么程度,和你有多努力,只是简单的沟通,而你又很需要,比如交到中国的女朋友😄😄那么你会学的很快,但如果你想学的很专业,那肯定不容易,5年计划做起来😜
People often think that hard work means spending time doing something over and over again, so there will be a good result. However, if it is not scientific and effective learning, it may be in vain. As some people say, work smart is worse than just work hard.
I believe that you can definitely learn effectively ,as long as you use the learning method that you feel will really help you improve.Learning any language takes time and effort, but the most important thing is persistence. If you can commit to learning Chinese for a lot of time every day,it’ll only one to two years, you will make considerable progress. If you make learning Chinese as a hobby or secondary task, may take you three or four years to make a significant progress. However, communicating with real native Chinese speakers is a very effective way to make an unexpected progress unconsciously,it can improve you listening ,speaking, reading, writing and other aspects of Chinese, and shorten your learning time, you are welcome to come to me to learn Chinese, relax and enjoy the fun communication,my course price is very low
It dependd on your purpose and fundation. 3days:you can master the pinyin(Chinese phonetic alphabet) ,with which u can read the characters accurately. A week :mastering simple sentences to support your daily conversation in your travel(including greeting to locals, ordering in the restaurant, shopping, asking for directions and so on) A month:you start to get language sense and your learning will speed up.
it depends on why you want to learn Chinese if just for travel maybe just one hour you can talk with local Chinese speakers but if you want to learn Chinese for Job you should spend long time to study and practice
It typically takes English speakers around 2200 class hours to reach proficiency in Chinese, which can translate to about 2-3 years of consistent study.

Tonal pronunciation - The 4 tones of Chinese language can be difficult for English speakers, it may take time to master. Hi there, it depends. In general, for complete beginner, it will take 2-3 month to achieve A1 level (around 200-300 hrs). You can understand and communicate basic conversation with native speakers. To achieve higher level like HSK6, it will take around 2-3 years to learn.
First of all, we need to clarify your learning goals. Based on your pronunciation patterns and the intensity of your study, than we can make an informed assessment. For example, when a native English speaker first start learning Chinese, they typically struggle with the pronunciation of at least 7 consonants, 2 vowels and a few diphthongs. According to the CERF, progressing from 0 to A-1 level (incl. Pinyin+150 words+basic Chinese radicals) would normally take about 2 months with one 2-hour-lesson per week. If you wan to reach that level within 1 month, you'd need to have two 2-hour-lessons each week. But don't worry, finding a good teacher will definitely helps you a lot, wish you good luck!
I think if you want to learn Chinese better, you must use it to be yours, so practice to speak it is the best way
