Both of them are correct dear :) The difference is only between British and American English
There is technically a difference, historically, as British settlers were predominantly English settlers in America. So technically speaking, before any American dictionary came into print, the original spelling would have been colour, as ascribed by the British. So albeit that both spellings can be used and are accepted, either the American spelling of color or the British spelling, colour. The only difference is the ages of these words and the fact that Americans dropped the 'u' , this is probably due to the way the American accent developed and evolved over time. Other British words that changed are : BRITISH AMERICAN Flavour flavor Humour humor Labour labor I prefer to use British English as this is the curriculum I was taught. I hope this was an interesting answer for you. If you want to join my classes, I'd be happy to add some flavour and humour to your English practice.
