Most of the time I guess about the meaning. Then I read the sentence by taking that meaning. Then I verify my translation by using dictionary. Most of the time my guessed meanings are correct, but sometimes I get incorrect too. But my this method helps me a lot while reading, translating and understanding the concept being read.
Students can the identify words surrounding to try and decipher what the sentences is alluding to. The general inference of the sentence can be identified after understanding keys words or phrases. Context clues are really good for new learners.
