Make jokes with them, dont put pressure where you should not, do not over react, show that you understand them and listen to their needs, build a good chemistry with them. Making students comfortable with your teaching is one of the best things in this field
I try to be very accommodative and give the students room to express themselves. I give merits for not only giving the right answer but just for participating.
Build rapport with student, get to know his/her likes , dislikes, preferences then you you build and base lessons on this
I prefer to set a goal for the lesson, we work on that and then at the end we review to see if we achieved it.
Just be yourself. Student sees that all the time.
Smile! Be animated. Do not have long pauses in the conversation. Do less talking and give them a lot of time to express themselves.
- BlessingI teach English.. from basic to advanced English .. from words to sentences .from simple to complex
I relate with them like my friends…let them tell me what they find difficult to understand and explain it well to them
My key philosophy that I've learnt over the years is "be as simple" as possible" organized and simple, that will give confidence to the student that you're NOT there to examine him, but to share together the knowledge you have about what he or she is interested in.
