I have always made my classes interesting, enjoyable and memorable for each student. It doesn't matter if it is an adult student, small children or teenagers, I assess each one during our first meeting and afterwards plan my lessons according to their English level, abilities and interests. I have definitely found that each student is unique and requires a different approach, so I know exactly how to adjust my lesson plan and materials, games/activities and teaching style to create the perfect learning environment for them. 😊🗣
To access a student's progress and provide constructive feedback: 1. Regular Assessment use quizzes, tests to gauge their understanding of the material. Keep records of their scores and performance. 2. Try to Observe and Pay attention to their participation, engagement, and behavior in class. Monitor their interactions with peers and their willingness to ask questions. 3. Also Schedule one-on-one feedback sessions with students to discuss their progress. Highlight their strengths and areas for improvement. Be specific and provide examples. 4. Clearly communicate your expectations and grading criteria. Students should know what is expected of them and how they will be evaluated. 5. Last but not least utilize grading rubrics for assignments and projects. For conversational lessons, choose topics that your student can relate to, for example: past vacations. Have a free flowing conversation where your student get ample time to share their stories, this will allow enough talking time and practice. Remember to correct students' mistakes throughout the conversation instead of leaving corrections to the end of the lesson.
