Hi, what is more important for students to learn here? Speaking fluently or academic English?

That would be entirely up to the student, in my humble opinion, I would aim to speak fluently then learn academically,
Speaking Fluently because someone that can speak fluently in a particular subject can write well academically and with better understanding.
Both are highly important but it depends on the students needs.

That will depend on the student on what their goal is. But if I was asked that I would prefer speaking fluently as it can help you when you decide to explore the country or meet other people.
Hello! everything depends on a student actually. But if that question is for me, I would literally chose to become fluent, because being fluent was just like being good in academic English.
