I just read a post on a different platform where a tutor mentioned that for the entire lesson they discussed F1 cars, so I guess it depends on both tutor and and learner, but not lose sight of why the learner is booking lessons with you.

I prefer discussing more about learning the basics of English because it creates more concrete foundation for learning English in that way I will not make many mistakes in grammar and articulation.
