Great question. Toefl is mainly for those who need to immigrate to the US, whereas IELTS is accepted in many universities around the world including the US. I would go for the IELTS test because I would have more opportunities to study in any country I like. To add to that, we also have the PTE test which is for Australia and Celpip for Canada. Those countries also accept IELTS. SO, IELTS it is.
Depends on the institution asking for the qualifications but I’ve taught exam strategies for both for over ten years (I’m also an assessor for a competitor) and if it’s your choice I would strongly recommend taking IELTS. I think it’s a little easier to understand the exercises themselves. I think both exams are valid but ielts is just a little clearer with the tasks and exercises

they both are good but you should choose the one that you need .in some countrie and some universities they accept TOEFL and some others IELTS
The IELTS and TOEFL are different certifications. Which is better depends on the purpose. The first is to essentially prove your English level for school or immigration purposes internationally. Whereas the second proves that you have the needed skills to teach English online to students. The first is slightly better and can be used for both as you can teach test prep and prove your English skill. While the second is better for teaching alone.

I have done IELTS, it was part of my study package, I think it is very good and can become ones specialty if you set your mind to it. I have not done TOEFL, but I would like to and probably will, either that or a Degree in Education

The first thing to do when teaching conditionals would be to explain what conditionals are, then provide them with examples, then play a game where they need to identify the conditional, and finally have them create their own to see if they understood it
