To me this means that the student is actively involved in their own learning. Giving their opinions. I like it when students asks me questions, this way I know that they want to learn more, and it's an indication that they are comfortable with me. It's always good to ask them if they have any questions and to remind them to stop you from talking if they have any questions while you are explaining something to them. I don't mind if a student stops me to ask questions.
