Yes it will boast your confidence level as you are mirroring yourself which will help you to be more confident.
I would say practising in front of the mirror is a great idea. I used to be so shy when I had to do public speaking, looking at myself in the mirror helped me with the idea that there will be eyes focussed on me and it also helped me to not look at my key cards too often.
Remember practice makes perfect.
