I am a 34 year old lady from Lesotho, residing in South Africa. My passion for teaching, and adaptability to different cultures makes me a strong candidate as an ESL teacher. My love for reading and writing is instrumental in creating engaging and creative lessons for my students. My experience in social networking is also beneficial in incorporating technology and multimedia resources in my lessons to keep my students engaged and connected. My willingness to travel and experience different cultures also brings a unique perspective to my teaching, as I can share my own experiences and insights with my students. Additionally, my ability to easily adapt to new environments helps me create a welcoming and inclusive classroom atmosphere for my students from diverse backgrounds. That said, my enthusiasm for teaching, curiosity about different cultures, and desire to travel make me a well-rounded ESL teacher who inspires and motivates my students to achieve their language learning goals. I hold a degree in Psychology and Industrial Psychology and TEFL Certificate. I have worked in Human Resources for a couple of years, developing and implementing training programs. Skill transfer is one of my strengths. I have also been a tutor for two years, helping school children in an after school program. With my background in psychology, industrial psychology, and experience in human resources, I bring a unique perspective to ESL teaching. My expertise in skill transfer and training program development can be an asset in creating effective and engaging lessons for my students. My experience as a tutor for school children also demonstrates my ability to work with learners of different age groups and skill levels. This experience helps me tailor my ESL lessons to meet the diverse needs and learning styles of my students As an ESL teacher, my lessons typically include a mix of language practice activities, such as grammar exercises, vocabulary building exercises, reading comprehension tasks, and conversation practice. I also like to incorporate multimedia resources, such as videos and audio recordings, realia, to provide real-world examples of the language in use. My teaching style is student-centered, I strive to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable practicing their language skills. My lessons are engaging and interactive, I often incorporate games, role-plays, and group activities to keep students motivated and actively involved in the learning process. I also place a strong emphasis on communication, encouraging students to participate in class discussions, ask questions, and share their ideas and experiences. I believe that language learning is most effective when students are given opportunities to use language in meaningful and authentic ways.
