Hello my name is Nozi and welcome to my classroom. Thank you for clicking on my profile now let me tell you about myself I am 28 years old and I am from Durban in South Africa. I studied and completed my Diploma in Marketing and I am a Certified TEFL teacher. I have 2 years of experience teaching English to Zulu speaking children as a second language and I have 4 years experience in the BPO industry as a Customer Service Agent. I have 2 years experience in tutoring English to Zulu speaking children. A school called Nokweja High School recruited e to be their English tutor as the children were having difficulties with grasping it. It is quite difficult for them as this is not their home language but however they need to further their education. Instead of giving the learners notes and information, I also combine practical exercises to see if the learners understand and if they can use the English language in their everyday lives. I am a Marketing graduate, Certified TEFL teacher and I have 2 years experience in tutoring English. I also have 5 years of Customer Service Experience communicating with different people from all over the world. I have always provided customers outstanding service, because I have a natural aptitude to form relationships and solve difficulties. Skills that I have acquired include patience, active listening, adaptability, team work and time management. As a teacher, I am a patient and kind teacher and I create a safe space to make sure that my students are comfortable in my classroom. I believe that my students should feel relaxed in my classroom and should express themselves freely. My teaching philosophy is that students should be treated with kindness and respect, my classroom is a safe and welcoming environment. All learners have different personalities and as a teacher I should learn how to assist each learner accordingly. I also believe in practical learning to use in everyday situations. I strongly believe that practical learning is very important as it helps me to identify if the students understand or not. Public speaking in class helps students to feel confident to speak English outside of the classroom and being able to use it in their everyday lives. The children end up enjoying our lessons especially when we do public speaking and just role playing in general.
