I'm Nonkuthalo Dubazane from South Africa and I'm 31 years old. The love of teaching has always been instilled in me since I started tutoring in high school. My hobbies are reading, watching poetry and, engaging in sporting activities like netball and soccer. Teaching is so exhilarating for me as I get to instill some knowledge to my students while also learning something new about them whether it is language or cultural and traditional practices. We live in such a diverse world whereby we ought to know and learn about each others similarities as well as differences and the English language mends those gaps that there were in the future by facilitating communication amoungst us.
3 to 5 years teaching experience and I hold a TEFL certificate and TEYL certificate.
Lesson Structure
1. Warm-up and Icebreaker (5-10 minutes): Engaging activities to get students talking, relax, and focus.
2. Language Focus (20-30 minutes): Instruction and practice on specific language skills, such as grammar, vocabulary, or pronunciation.
3. Communication Practice (20-30 minutes): Students engage in conversations, discussions, or role-plays to apply language skills in context.
4. Wrap-up and Homework (5-10 minutes): Review of key language points, assignment of homework, and preview of the next lesson.
Teaching Style
1. Student-Centered: I prioritize student needs, interests, and learning styles to create a supportive and inclusive environment.
2. Interactive and Engaging: I incorporate a range of activities, such as games, videos, and discussions, to keep students motivated and engaged.
3. Communicative Language Teaching: I focus on developing students' ability to communicate effectively in English, rather than just teaching grammar rules.
4. Feedback and Correction
