Hello! My name is Lily, and it would be my great honour to be your new favourite intermediate to advanced English tutor👩‍🏫 I am currently studying to obtain a degree in Social Work, and when I'm not busy with that, I enjoy reading, writing, and watching Marvel movies. This journey is about *you* and *your* language-learning needs!☺️🤍 From 2021 to 2022, I taught intermediate English and beginner Afrikaans on a language-learning Discord server for international learners. In my classes, I taught over 100 learners aged 13 to 35 every week, with subject expertise focused on teaching conversational skills, reading and comprehension, grammar, and pronunciation. My teaching methodology through that experience has led me to now make use of fun, interactive lessons that help you enjoy learning. I also make sure to assign homework and consistently help my students with it so they can continue to practice outside the classroom and better learn from mistakes made along their language-learning journey. I have also completed my 120-hour TEFL Course, providing me the certification to teach English as a foreign language. The course aided me in gaining the necessary knowledge of how to teach the main elements of language learning: reading, writing, speaking, listening and pronunciation. Learning anything, especially a new language, isn't always easy, so you are guaranteed to make mistakes along the way.
