Hello! My name is Laura Stefanny Figueroa, I am 27 years old. I was born in one of the most diverse countries, culturally and naturally, Colombia. I love literature, writing, poetry and cinema. I am a faithful follower of Latin music, pop, rock, and a little metal. And of course with the other musical nuances originating from my country (salsa, reggaeton, merengue, bachata, vallenato, Latin pop, etc.), I like to dance, although I am not an expert. I love traveling, the sea, the mountains, hiking, trekking. I love coffee and trying new cuisines. I have been working as an English and French teacher for 4 years. I have had the fortune of being immersed in different educational environments (Language Academies, Universities, Colleges and Institutes, and also in virtual environments). I love teaching, and exchanging with my students. I am very curious, and I like to learn new things. I have solid experience as an English and French teacher (academies, institutes, schools and universities), I have good command of linguistic, sociolinguistic, discursive and strategic skills, in both languages. My competence covers a wide range of levels, from beginner to advanced, and I am versed in highly effective teaching and assessment methodologies and techniques for both languages. I currently live in France, I work as a Spanish teacher in three educational establishments (collèges et lycées). My teaching philosophy is simple: learning a language should be as exciting as talking to a friend or immersing yourself in a good story. I am passionate about reading, cinema, music, art and sports.
