Hi there! I'm teacher Kessy, a 25 year old young lady from Botswana, a country situated in the southern part of Africa. I am passionate about teaching English and connecting with students from all around the world. I'm deeply intrigued with different cultures and love exploring new places through books, documentaries and conversations. In my free time, I enjoy discovering local spots, hiking, watching anime and reading. With that said, I'm excited to share my knowledge and help you in your English learning journey! With a TEFL/TESOL qualification and a strong background in teaching online in esteemed platforms like Preply, I've had the pleasure of helping students from diverse backgrounds improve their language skills. My experience on Preply lasted only 4 months and was short-lived due to medical reasons. But despite that, I still acquired cultural awareness, classroom management, collaborative and communicative skills as well as tech savviness. My lessons are tailored to meet individual needs, whether you're focused on improving conversation, grammar or business English. I believe in creating an engaging and supportive learning environment that also leaves room for mistakes where students can build confidence and achieve their goals. My teaching styles comprise of student-centered learning, total physical response especially for beginners and young learners. Assessing the your progress through regular assignments, quizzes and assessments as well as Task-based learning and communicative language teaching style. In essence, my teaching involves blending multiple approaches to create a dynamic and efficient learning experience that also combines patience, creativity and enthusiasm to make learning effective and enjoyable.
