I am 35 years old and live in the beautiful province of Kwa-Zulu Natal in South Africa. I know sign language because I have an older brother who is deaf. I play volleyball and like to sing and dance. I celebrate the big and small accomplishments of my family, colleagues, friends and children. I like learning about different cultures and faiths, I always research something new I would have learnt. I like watching soccer and cricket and consider myself a bit of an athlete as I like keeping fit. I have a TESL certificate, I have thought between the ages of 2 and 6. I have 2 years experience in early childhood developmental. I have recently (March 2022) completed my BA in Human Sciences and Social Services (Psychological Counselling), once we rece I am all for expressive teaching, and also it is important to have fun in lessons, no matter the age. I believe the beginning of each lesson should start with any challenges that students encountered with the previous lessons homework, so that students learn with understanding. A lot of the time teachers are in a hurry to get the lesson done, however, it is prudent that students understand what it is that they are learning, and are made aware that they matter and their progress matters to the teacher.
