John Fregeau

Hello, my name is John Fregeau. I have studied Math/Science and Biology, earning my A.S. and B.S. degrees respectively. I have also completed a 120 Hour TESOL/TEFL Certificate which allows me to teach English as a Second Language. During my undergraduate years, I was fortunate to be awarded a fellowship by the California Institute of Regenerative Medicine for my work in STEM Cell Research. Aside from academics, I have a wide range of interests. I enjoy exercising to stay fit and healthy. I also love moments of comedy and find them quite entertaining. Video games, especially World of Warcraft, have always been a source of enjoyment for me. Additionally, I have a passion for traveling and learning about new destinations and foreign cultures. I am also interested in nutrition, not just in terms of dishes but also in understanding how it impacts overall health on a biological level. I have had the privilege of working with students in various roles throughout my career. As a private tutor, I have helped elementary and high school students with their studies, providing individualized support and guidance. Additionally, as a behavioral aide, I have worked with special needs students, assisting them in their daily activities and fostering their personal development. Furthermore, as an ESL Teacher, I have had the opportunity to teach Indonesian students the English language, helping them improve their communication skills. Through these experiences, I have witnessed the growth and success of my students, which has been incredibly rewarding. To provide an effective learning experience, I believe in tailoring my lessons and teaching styles to meet the unique needs and learning styles of each student. As an educator, my expertise lies in English as a Second Language, but I am versatile and can also assist with literature, reading, and other subjects. By understanding the individual strengths and weaknesses of my students, I am able to create specific lessons that cater to their learning styles, ensuring their success. Additionally, I am qualified to teach Biology, mathematics, and other related subjects, providing a well-rounded education. With my individualized approach, I aim to empower every student to reach their full potential and excel in their academic journey.
