Miss Jauhara B.

I am Jauhara Bayat and I am a Native English tutor from South Africa. I am TEFL qualified. I am currently studying my Bachelor degree in Education. I find pleasure in playing sport such as table tennis, volleyball, chess and football. I am very family orientated and love being around kids. Swimming is one of my many hobbies, but also my favourite. I love reading books and growing my knowledge. I am also a self-taught makeup artist. I pursued makeup for a year and still am very passionate about it. I am a very creative person and i do adapt my creativeness into my way of teaching. I have dreams of traveling the world and seeing new places. I would like to indulge in the breathtaking sites all over the globe. One of the goals on my bucket list is to see the seven wonders of the earth. I passed matric with a bachelor pass and a distinction. I have obtained my TEFL certificate and am now a qualified TEFL teacher. I am currently registered for my first year of teaching with the University of South Africa. Teaching others has always made me feel wholesome which is why I've chosen this career as my direction. I love children and sharing my knowledge, contributing to their growth. I have tutored students for almost a year and found myself enjoying the occupation thus furthering my studies by applying to a university to study teaching. So far, every single student I've tutored has reached excellence, grasping a better knowledge of the English language. I also had the opportunity of educating my parents further. Due to them being elder, my vast knowledge is a huge help for them to adapt and keep up to date with current English. Students can expect a very fun yet informative lesson from me. I am a very creative person therefore, I know how to switch up a lesson and make it a bit entertaining for those students who lack the ability to keep their attention on me. I believe that there are different styles of teaching and that the individual learning is allowed to feel comfortable in the environment that they engage in. My main focus is making sure that every student is on the same page and will not move on until everyone understands the work taught clearly. I make use of hand gestures alot because it aids learners understanding furthermore, I do use visual aid such as posters, charts and real life objects. I also give the student an opportunity to speak and share their questions and opinions. Involvement is a must so that students feel comfortable to answer me and speak up if they have any queries or confusion with what has to be done.
