Hello Everyone, My name is Jason, I am 56 years old. I live in a small town called White River, South Africa, a small holiday and farming town situated just 20 kms north of Mbombela and 46 kms from Hazyview not far from the border of the Kruger National Park. It is 15 kms west of the Kruger Mpumalanga International Airport. Archaeological evidence from surrounding areas suggests that the land that later became White River has been occupied for thousands of years. Remains of settlements from the 6th-century point to Iron Age African agriculture.
I am an avid cook and enjoy Cooking and Baking and trying out new recipes. My top favorite well known chefs are Jamie Oliver, Nigella and Gordon Ramsay I enjoy reading, Movies, Walks and the Outdoors I enjoy watching Motorsport like the Dakar Rally and Saloon Car racing and I also enjoy watching Yacht Racing. like Cricket and really enjoy One Day International games. I get great enjoyment out of helping people, especially the elderly.
I am a qualified TEFL and TESOL certified ESL tutor. My native language is English and my second language is Afrikaans and I am fluent in both languages.
I have previously tutored students that required extra lessons after school in the basics of English
I am easygoing and understanding, I feel that my laid-back teaching style is a great way to help students learn effectively by encouraging students to ask questions and participate in discussions and using humor to make learning fun and using real-life examples to help students understand the material and feel that my style of teaching works best because it allows students to learn at their own pace and in their own way. However, I am more involved in the class and interact with students on a more personal level by choosing lessons according to students’ language skills to ensure that they are learning effectively, which is important. By determining my students’ needs, focusing on the four essential language skills: Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing and using activities that are relevant to my students' interests and to use suspense and keeping the lessons fresh also helps my students to enjoy their lessons
