Jacob

My name is Jacob and I am from London, UK. I have been an English teacher for almost 10 years. I have just moved to Munich, Germany, but previously I was living in Saudi Arabia where I taught at a University and also tutored online. I have a Masters Degree in teaching English, and am a certified IELTS instructor. I have 2 dogs, a Golden Retriever and a particularly troublesome German Shepherd who occupy a lot of my time. I have also recently taken up windsurfing and scuba diving. After completing my degree in Russian Studies and my Cert-tesol qualification I moved to Russia to work as an English teacher, firstly with international house and then with a number of other language schools. I also worked as a tutor for a variety of students. I have also spent my summers working for a language school in London teaching students from all over the world IELTS preparation. I have experience of teaching students of all ages from 5 to adult and all abilities, general English as well as exam preparation (Cambridge and IELTS). I have just completed an MA-Tesol (Masters degree in English Teaching) at the University of Nottingham, and I am also a certified IELTS instructor. I like my students to feel comfortable, to gain confidence in communicating and learning, therefore I create a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere to help my students express themselves.
