Ivy Wangui Mumbi

Hey everyone, my name is Ivy Wangui. I am 23 years old and from Nairobi, Kenya. I speak three languages and English is my native language. My favorite leisure activity is reading books, taking part in culinary arts, and learning different languages. My greatest passion is writing short stories and teaching language to anyone willing to learn. I am a trained teacher of English from Kenyatta university, fully certified by my government to teach high school and college students. I have taught 7th and 10th graders in Westridge International school, based in the outskirts of Nairobi for over one year . I have also taught communication skills in my local community college as a volunteer. I believe in having fun and fully interactive lessons with my students where I encourage them to learn at their own pace and develop a positive attitude towards the language. I employ techniques such as kahoot, to keep things interesting and memorable for the learners, this aids in making the language learning journey a lot easier.
