Hello! I'm Hilma a dedicated TEFL-certified educator with a passion for teaching English as a foreign language with 3 years of experience as an in-person tutor.
I am a 22-year-old young lady, very energetic, committed, and self-driven. I'm from an African country called Namibia known as "The Land of the Brave." I am passionate about reading fiction and non-fiction books, learning to add to my knowledge, teaching, helping others, and meeting new people from diverse cultures all over the world.
I am a final-year student teacher at a university here in Namibia, pursuing my Bachelors's Honors Degree in secondary education specializing in languages and English is one of my majors. I have taught English throughout my university, and in my third year, I had an English temporary post for a year. It was indeed a beautiful experience. I hold a TEFL certificate and I am confident in my abilities to help others reach their goals academically.
I believe in fostering a supportive and interactive learning environment where students feel confident to explore and communicate in English. With a background in person-tutoring and teaching secondary school learners. I bring a dynamic approach to language instruction, tailoring lessons to meet individual learning styles and goals.
I often merge literature to bring a spark to the discussion, giving students a deep understanding of the language in context. To add to the traditional teaching method, I love integrating technology into my lessons. interactive online tools, multimedia resources, and digital platforms serve as powerful aids to reinforce learning and make the educational experience more engaging. I focus on the four English language skills (speaking, reading, listening, and writing). To improve your language skills, you can expect to engage in a variety of classroom exercises. In the end, you will be more confident in expressing yourself in English.
