I am a native American speaker, a degreed electrical engineer and have lived in 3 SE Asian countries. I frequently participated in coffeehouse English clubs and instruction in Viet Nam. Enjoy playing bass guitar and photography.
I have TEFL certification.
Additionally, i have completed the curriculum for TESOL with the University of Arizona.
My students will experience enjoyable classes and learn practical, useful English. While correct grammar is important, students are interested in speaking English. If all they know are grammar rules (which often have so many exceptions they are useless), then they will be unable to have a conversation in English.
Take plurality. Sure, "eye" becomes "eyes". But "child" becomes "children ", and "woman" becomes "women". Not much sense in learning rules for plurality.
