I currently reside in Australia and have a strong passion for exploring other cultures, geography, languages, and music. Having lived and traveled extensively throughout the US and Australia in the past, I've experienced the enriching journey of learning a second language and witnessing the improvement of my communication skills.
I've learned that certain teaching methods are best suited to specific students. Factors such as personal preferences, strengths, and visual or auditory memory play a significant role in determining the most effective approach. Each student has their own preferred learning style and unique goals.
I believe that every student has a valuable voice that should be heard, and I see it as a guiding force for our future lessons. In this regard, my teaching style is quite flexible. I am comfortable designing a study plan independently or collaboratively with the student.
I am a sociologist who has worked as a music teacher š§āš« in kindergarten, primary, and secondary schools for four years. During that time, I taught group lessons full-time, which significantly increased my levels of patience š. Additionally, I have been offering private music lessons since 2014. I understand the commitment required for long-term projects, it often turns out to be an exciting journey of personal growth.
I speak both Spanish and English, which allows me to translate words, terms, expressions, and idioms in real-time between the two languages. This approach optimizes your time in the lesson and provides you with the opportunity to practice with a native Spanish speaker š.
I'd love to assist you in improving your pronunciation to make your phrases and words sound and feel more natural. Fortunately, there are numerous resources we can utilize to achieve this. Additionally, I can help you learn certain sounds through repetition exercises.
My preferred way to learn grammar is through examples because they contain chunks of grammar that we will later encounter in other phrases and grammar constructions. You will come up with your examples and therefore incorporate the grammar rules. We will learn grammar from real-life scenarios where people communicate naturally their thoughts, following a communicative learning approach.
