Crystal M Brown

I was born and raised on the colorful island of Jamaica. I've worked with various levels of students. I've worked with adults pursuing their GED. I have even worked with adults learning to read for the first time and children with learning disabilities and autism. I believe teaching should be expressive, adaptive, and empowering for the students. my family and I enjoy being outdoors, fishing, camping, and bonfires. We hope to travel to different countries and experience many cultures together. I taught Adult General Education classes for 3 years. I worked one on one with children of all ages over the last 6 years. My style of teaching is student centered. I like to give enough instruction, examples, and support for the student to grasp concepts on their own. I believe when a student figures out something on their own it sticks with them. I also love to learn about my students so I can give them personalized examples and understand their learning style.
