Hello everyone! My name is Christian, and I am a 36 year-old from Canada. I have years of experience teaching English in South Korea and online to all age groups. In addition to teaching English, I love studying and teaching history; I run a history podcast and love reading books, even though I am a bit of a slow reader. Traveling is another passion of mine, having visited Europe, Asia, and Africa. I love getting into a car and driving down new roads, looking for new places to see and admire. Other than that, I love spending time with family and friends, watching movies and documentaries, playing video games, and always learning something new. For years, I have taught English to children in South Korea. Additionally, I have taught English online to all age groups, especially adults. I hold a 150-hour TEFL Certificate from the University of Toronto TeachAway center. My experience has mostly be First of all, I believe that language lessons should be fun. Sometimes learning a new skill makes us feel nervous, so it's important for me to be a friendly, cheerful teacher that makes students feel comfortable. Do not worry about making mistakes; that is part of learning! :) As a language learner myself, I believe that conversational practice is crucial. It is also very important to have a lot of listening practice. Because of this, I love to talk with my students about any kind of topic. Free-talking time is very helpful. Not only does it give you confidence in speaking and listening to English, it also helps us get to know each other better, thus opening up new conversation topics. During my lessons, I provide opportunities for you to practice. We can practice by listening to a YouTube video, working on grammar exercises, doing fill-in-the blank pages, or making sentences with new vocabulary. So book a lesson and let's practice together!
