Hello! My name is Bernadette, and I'm originally from Kenya. I have a passion for connecting with people from all over the world, travelling, exploring new cultures, and meeting new people – these experiences always teach me something valuable. In addition to my love for travel, I enjoy learning and adapting to new environments, which is one of the reasons I enjoy working remotely and online. I believe that life should be enjoyed and not taken too seriously – having a lighthearted and positive outlook helps me to connect with my students and create an engaging learning experience. When I'm not teaching or traveling, I like to watch movies & cook. I look forward to sharing my knowledge and learning from you as well as we work on your English goals! I have had the opportunity to teach in various settings, both in-person and online. Over the past 5 years, I have taught at local schools, including a college, where I worked with students of different ages and backgrounds. More recently, I have been teaching English online to both adults and children, which has allowed me to develop a wide range of teaching techniques and adapt to different learning styles. I am a trained teacher with a Bachelor's degree in Education, and I also hold a TEFL certification, which has further enhanced my ability to teach English effectively to non-native speakers. I teach both English and Mathematics, and my teaching approach is centered around creating a learning environment that is supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student's individual needs. My goal is to help students feel comfortable and confident as they learn. I take the time to understand their unique learning styles, pace, and goals, and I guide them through each lesson with care, encouragement, and patience. To make lessons more engaging and effective, I incorporate a variety of teaching methods such as videos, discussions, and real-world examples. I also provide regular feedback to ensure students remain on track and build confidence in their abilities.
