Hi there! I'm Alice - an ESL teacher based in Kyrgyzstan. Even though I'm new to this platform, I've been teaching English for over 6 years now and have helped quite a few people hone their skills and boost their confidence when speaking the language. I will be happy to discuss your goals at a trial lesson and, hopefully, help you achieve the next milestones on your English learning journey. As far as my personality is concerned, I like to think that I have a good sense of humor and I joke with my students quite a bit. I'm also quite creative (I bake cakes and I used to be into all sorts of DIY) and attentive - I listen and make notes in order to customize my lessons to best suit my students. My 2 other interests are psychology and fitness and I also have recently got into hiking and I have been loving it. Self-employed ESL teacher since 2017. I have a Bachelor's degree in linguistics and a verified C2 level (CAE 2022, 205/210) as well as 7 years' experience in teaching adults and teenagers of A1-B2 levels. In class I always try to build rapport with my student to create a laid-back, relaxed atmosphere which helps to promote the student's fluency. I normally heavily focus on speaking skills and vocabulary, and I include revision of the previous material in every class. I learn about my students' interests and needs to provide them with relevant vocabulary and grammar to help them deal with their tasks outside of classroom.
