I taught English at the advanced higher education level, the intermediate level, and the beginner level. I helped students master English for their jobs and others in their studies. I also taught students to pass their IELTS and TOEFL exams. I joined the Algerian Red Crescent in 2017 and volunteered by teaching English for students on their high school graduation exams.
I taught English for three years at private schools and three years and a half at university. I taught students who seek to pass the TOEFL and the IELTS exams. Also, I taught students English for Academic Purposes at university.
My teaching styles
My teaching style depends a lot on the communicative approach, comprehension approach, and the affective humanistic approach. The communicative approach helps me with targetting the four skills with leveled books with high-interest themes. On the other hand, the affective-humanistic approach helps me in keeping the students' motivation high. Whereas the comprehension approach helps me in giving the student's the role of teacher. Sometimes I give my students the chance to peer grade their classmates, which turns out to be fun. I like the mentioned approaches because they are effective in my teaching style.
I usually teach high school students and university students. I teach my students in high school to pass their exams. On the other hand, I teach my university students to master the language or for academic purposes. Regardless of their levels, the three approaches match my teaching style. Also, it makes my teaching effective, and it grants me great results.
