During my spare time, I teach music theory to my nieces and nephews and their friends. I am family orientated, I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking for them, playing games, and just having our traditional Saturdays braai (barbeque). I love traveling although I haven't travelled outside my country I'm working on it though. I'm a peoples person, I just love lending a hand whenever I can. I'm very fond of movies, music of course(performance), reading, researching and learning about people's cultures and traditions and sharing my own as well.
I have two years of online teaching experience. I have one year of tutoring experience in my previous high school and two years of mentoring and tutoring experience at the Tshwane University of Technology. I am TEFL certified and I cater to both younger c
I am very patient and approachable in my teaching style. My main aim is to cater to the specific needs of individual students, therefore, I am always happy to be guided by my students on what they want to learn. I'm a flexible tutor. I can adapt to each learner's unique learning methods which will assist them to reach their goals.
I use props, multimedia, and other variety of tools where necessary when teaching. I also prefer to use a little roleplay, where I'll come up with scenarios and we will both act them out. I am a peoples person and I love to talk about anything. I always want my students to know that our classroom will be a safe space.
I always encourage my learners to be confident and not feel ashamed when making mistakes. I believe that's one of the best ways to identify the errors that need correction.
