Hey there, language learners! I'm a native speaker of English (from Austin, Texas, U.S.A.) and love helping students iron out the little details of my language. (And if you don't know what "iron out" means, come take a class with me!) I also love taking photos with my beloved Fuji XT-20 and learning new languages. PLEASE NOTE: If you want to try a class with me and don't see a time slot you like in my schedule, please message me and I may be able to open up your ideal day and time. About my experience: I've been teaching forever, starting with volunteer ESL classes I taught as a teen. I've worked with children in bilingual classrooms of the Austin, Texas public school system and have been teaching online since 2016. Experience is not lacking here and I have the wrinkles and a few gray hairs to prove it! I've taught people from all over the world and love watching my students advance. If you're here for Spanish: I am self-taught in Spanish and currently live in Mexico. Having learned as an adult, I love helping others on their Spanish journey and have worked with both adults and children, in-person and online. While you eventually will want to chat with native Spanish speakers, I have found that a non-native speaker is often better able to explain the things that trip up American Spanish learners. My classes on livexp are fast-paced, focused and will get you out of your comfort zone! I will constantly be guiding you towards more fluent English (or Spanish) and, no matter what your level, we'll work on reducing your native language's accent. I will correct you and make suggestions regarding pronunciation in particular, and will gently push you a little farther down that road to fluency. Don't worry, we'll have fun!
