How to Prepare for the Duolingo Exam?

I have seen many helpful blog posts on the IELTS exam and various English exams. But I have rarely come across Duolingo exam articles. If you are a college student planning to go abroad, you might need to take the Duolingo test. It is also one of the best options due to its cost and remote options. Not to mention that Universities all over the world accept Duolingo test scores.

Resources

I scored 140 without much preparation. The only resource you have available to prepare for the exam is the practice test. I have taken the practice test multiple times. There are many videos on Youtube, but the key is to practice and learn how to use them properly.

How to Prepare?

What if you are not that great at English? How to prepare? The very first piece of advice would be revising and expanding your vocabulary on various topics.

The second step would be learning how to speak clearly. I don’t think you have to talk fluently, but if you talk clearly about any random topic, that would be enough.

I felt that the listening part was quite obvious you just have to pronounce them out loud and see if it matches with the narrator’s voice.

Speaking

In the speaking section, you will be given a random topic to talk about. You will be given time to brainstorm. You will have to think hard about the topic. You don’t have to be specific or accurate with information as long as you can speak clearly and state your opinion.

Listening

This section picks the correct words. You will be given a list of words a narrator will read them out loud, and you will have to select the narrated correct words.

Fill in the blanks

This section is exactly what it sounds like you will have to fill in the blanks. It’s best If you acquire more knowledge about words and different topics.

Writing

In this section, you will be asked to write about a topic within a given time. The key is to write clear grammatical statements.
