- AI Warning
Tutors (& Students) AI warning, kinda. So, I've been using AI to take the hard work out of generating exercises. "Hello AI, can you create 50 multiple choices questions using the past tenses, and put the answers at the end." Within moments it creates the list. But, it OFTEN, gets thing wrong. Wrong word, wrong tense. This is because the data it draws its models from are often wrong and it uses probability to suggest a correct answer. Probability based on the real world use of wrong answers. If you point out a mistake it will fix it. But, as someone with dyslexia, I sometimes miss the mistake on first and second review. Then I spot them as I'm working closely line by life with a student. Ooops. So, it's a great tool to draft ideas, but really be careful - it will be wrong.

I too had my experiences with AI, one has to be careful, check and double check, and if it takes too much time, do your own.

I have been living in Dubai for a while now and I learned a little Arabic. I can say it is one of the hardest languages out there. The writing system is hard to learn especially for us, as the pronunciations of many letters seem alien to our ears; for example, the word "peace", in Arabic, seems like it starts with an "S" but it is not pronounced like a normal "S" it is something different, the tongue goes to the back of mouth I think and it seems it ends with the sound of "H" but once again it is a totally different type of "H", like someone breathing heavily. Not gonna lie, Arabic is hard, but I enjoyed learning it.
- I want to connect with professional teachers, my methods suck
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
The methods differ for every individual, it depends on the students' weak point and also their personalities, and their goals But the key point is: don't bother that much to learn, take it easy and just try to give yourself more exposure to the language beside professional learning, by watching movies in English , reading amusing English books based on your level, listening to the English news, ....
