I motivate my students by connecting lessons to what they love and their everyday lives. By including subjects they are passionate about, like their favorite shows, stories, or recent events, I help them understand the relevance of learning English. I genuinely think this approach not only heightens their interest but also inspires them to get involved in discussions and activities:)
- How do you help your students become better readers and listeners ?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
I make vocabulary development a top priority, as it serves as a foundation for both reading and listening skills. I introduce new words in context and inspire students to use them in their own sentences. For reading, I select a mix of literary genres to showcase various styles and themes, and for listening, I share audio resources that connect with their interests. We regularly hold discussions and activities afterward to strengthen their grasp of the material.

I like to check in with my students about how they’ve been since our last class. This not only gives us a chance to practice small talk but also allows me to tailor the session to their individual experiences. E.g. Before we jump into today’s lesson, how was your weekend?
