- What are the key elements of your profile that makes you stand out to potential students?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
What makes me stand out is my focus on personalized learning. I believe that each student is one-of-a-kind, so I take the time to evaluate their strengths and weaknesses before designing a customized learning plan. I make sure to incorporate topics that interest my students, which helps make lessons more engaging, whether we're working on conversation skills, essay writing, or exam prep. This tailored approach not only boosts their confidence but also encourages a love for the English language. Additionally, the feedback from my current and former students is essential, as happy students are likely to recommend me to their friends and acquaintances. Word of mouth is a powerful tool. 😎
- What’s your go-to activity for breaking the ice with new students?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
I prefer to start the first session with a conversation about their English learning aspirations. They let me know what they want to achieve, and we work together to create a plan. This establishes a clear purpose and promotes engagement right from the beginning. 😎
- What do you think is the most challenging part of learning English?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
In my opinion, one of the biggest hurdles in learning English is the extensive vocabulary and the variety of idioms. English is packed with expressions that can be tricky since they don’t always translate literally, which can leave learners feeling a bit lost. It takes time and effort to really understand when and how to use these idiomatic phrases.

- How do you help students break free from their fear of being judged when speaking English?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
I always tell my students that the key to speaking English is all about communication, not being perfect. I often remind them that even native speakers slip up with grammar or pronunciation. I push them to concentrate on sharing their thoughts instead of stressing over flawless speeches, which really helps create a more authentic conversation.
- How do you encourage students to embrace vulnerability when learning a new language?

In my classes, I really focus on the idea of having a growth mindset. I push my students to set their own language goals and to see challenges as chances to learn something new. I like to remind them that language is all about connecting with others, and the more they practice, the more confident they'll feel. By giving them helpful feedback and cheering them on, I show them that being a bit vulnerable can actually lead to great insights and help them get better at their language skills:)
- What’s a teaching moment that completely shifted your perspective on language learning?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
I once had a student who was an engineer but found technical English challenging. One day, he expressed his aspiration to present his work at an international conference. That moment opened my eyes to the fact that learning a language goes beyond just mastering grammar and vocabulary; it’s about reaching personal milestones. From that point on, I’ve dedicated myself to linking language lessons with my students’ individual goals and passions, which has made the learning experience much more impactful and inspiring:)
