- How to create a safe environment in the class.
As a teacher, one of the most important things I think we should mind in our classes, is the individual differences among students. "Weaker" students aren't really (weak), they just have a different learning rhythm that we should understand. One of the worst thing we can do as teachers is expecting our students to be the same, and (feeling bothered) by the slower-learning-students. We should, instead, embrace these differences and be welcoming, understanding and loving towards them. And we should motivate them in a way that suits their unique needs, and highlight their authentic strength points. Wishing you all the best. 🤍

Hopefully you can foster an expectation of mutual respect so that the weaker students are supported and encouraged by their classmates so that they feel confident to try. If you have a student who brags about being "superior to others" there is a good chance that someone in the class will have better sporting prowess or may excel in a practical skill and you can point this out if necessary. Sometimes we also need to teach humility.

Lecture notes , lecture slides, educational article, activities, assessments.......

anything and everything.. standart lesson books will only carry learning so far. in teaching it is better for both teachers and students to utilize anything and everything at their disposal to broaden their understanding and mastery of the language. simple chats with strangers, movies, tv shows, games, music, articles can go a long way.

We are not robots after all. Sharing different ideas even if we agree with them or not gives us different perspectives.

FadwaTEFL certified English tutor with 6 years of experience. Simple yet super effective English classes. The answer of this question differs from one person to another, let me illustrate: You can stand out in your career just because you know and do better based on English videos, articles or courses you learned from that are not available in other languages. You can literally have friends from all over the world just because you can communicate in English. You can learn to draw, sing, play the violin, knit and other countless things from YouTube. You can read zillions of untranslated books in every field. On a spiritual level, learning another language makes you more open minded, open hearted and understanding. In short it helps you EXPAND. Find your own drive, dear. And make sure to let your teacher know it so he/she can guide your learning process to reach your specific goal faster. Much love from my heart to yours 🤍
- As a student, do you prefer to follow a program or just have conversation classes with your teacher?
When I say "program", I mean choosing a book and sticking to it. It could be a good way to achieve higher levels in CEFR.

Gary NorthExperienced and easy going Conversational English TeacherAll languages , even ones with the same alphabet, have problems with pronunciation. It becomes even tougher if you’re learning a language that uses a different alphabet . It’s worth trying to watch movies /TV /YouTube videos in the language you’re learning to hear how words sound and how they’re strung together . I teach conversational English which some people see merely as “ chatting “ but it’s an integral part of actually speaking a language .
