I'm a British born teacher, who has been living in Brazil and teaching English since 2017. In the UK I was a personal trainer and gym manager. I became an English teacher when I moved to Brazil in 2017. I love sports, films, cooking, music and travel. I enjoy meeting new people, as I am a social person. I enjoy helping my students reach their language learning goals. I enjoy the cultural exchange that occurs while teaching English online to people around the world. I have been teaching since 2017. I qualified with a TEFL master`s course. I have worked at a variety of different English schools in Brazil, using different methodology. I used the Callan Method, Mnemonics, led conversational groups. I have used Cambridge and Oxford books to treach as well as making my own materials. I have tought online in various contexts with many students from different countries and native languages. I like to focus on an interesting way to practice and improve conversation and build the confidence of the student. I believe language learning is more effective when it is related to the interests of the student and involves the cultures of those who speak the target language. I often make slides for my classes. I have the following e-books to use: Oxford Pre intermediate and Cambridge upper intermediate to teach from. Where relevant I plan student specific conversation guides for students. My specialities include: Conversational English, Travel English, Business English and Scientific English.
