- What makes writing a challenging skill to teach?
Should we push our students to use their productive skills before enhancing their receptive ones?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
Writing is a challenging skill to teach because it involves multiple complex processes such as generating ideas and arranging them logically, choosing the appropriate vocabulary and grammar as well as conveying the intended message to the reader efficiently. Additionally writing proficiency requires extensive practice and feedback which can be time-consuming and difficult. Writing instruction also requires deep understanding of the cognitive and socio-cultural factors that influence writing development.

rarely in some cases that you want to talk about yourself, that is another person you can say I is a very shy person there aren't any strict rules to say you can refer to yourself as he or she so I think you can in very rare cases say I is, for example, ashamed or I is not willing to go out with you :) don't get berried under the snow of grammar say whatever you want

Start test- What's the difference between active and passive voice? I repair my computer every year, is it A?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
When a sentence is written in the active voice, the subject of the sentence acts. while in the passive voice, the subject receives the action. Active voice; " kelly reviewed my paper" Passive voice; my paper was reviewed by Kelly" It should be noted, however, that an active sentence and a passive sentence each state the same idea but use different word order. For example "the ball was thrown by the pitcher" here the ball is the subject while it was thrown in the passive voice. Finally, it should be noted that every sentence in the passive voice contains 2 verbs that are a conjugated form of "to be" and the main verbs are past participle.

I think, as a student, some common fears would include the fear of failure, fear of not meeting expectations, fear of public speaking or presenting, the fear of being judged or ridiculed by peers, and the fear of not being able to keep up with the workload. Overcoming fears: 1. Identify the root or origin of the fear 2. Set realistic goals and break down larger task into manageable portions 3. Practicing regularly to build skill and familiarity 4. Use positive self-talk 5. Seek help if you are not coping or don’t understand
- Should grammar be taught explicitly or implicitly?
Is grammar important for effective communication?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
Implicitly. The way I see it is that we excel more at copying and deducing than following direct instructions. So when we expose students to listening recordings or real-life texts, and just point out and make them notice a certain grammatical rule. This way, the next time they need to apply this rule, they will more easily imitate what they took notice of rather than apply what has been said rigidly.
