- Hello! I try to apply for US universities and struggle with the statement of personal history.Tipps?
It's for a phd program (philosophy), so very advance English, but should it be also very personal? I'm afraid to share too personal and miss the academic point... Any advice?

Writing a personal story for PhD program requires a balance between personal and academic content. Here are some tips: Balance - Maintain a balance between personal experiences and academic achievements. Relevant Experiences - Highlight those experiences that are relevant to your academic and personal interests. Coherent Story - Create a narrative connecting your background, academic pursuits, and future goals. Unique Perspective - Share a personal perspective that influenced your journey. Fit with Program - Explain why the PhD program aligns with your goals. Growth Reflection - Address challenges that contributed to your personal and academic growth. Structure - Organize logically with Introduction, Body and Conclusion. Taylor Statements - Customize statements for different programs by highlighting specific aspects. Good luck with your personal story and PhD program!
- Dear community, how can I improve my style of written English? I want to write some stories or a book

It's not English which is hindrance, writing stories and books need creative skills, read books, watch different stories based on your required genre , illustrate things in your mind , creative writing is untirely different, written skills are far more easier than speaking skills. Good luck 🤞🍀
- What would you say to a student who calls you whilst driving a car in city traffic?

I would suggest on no uncertain terms he never does that again, this is because he would be putting not only himself but that of others lives in danger.

Start test- Good afternoon. What is the correct form of saying: Hello, you have left a request on our website.
Is the wording correct here or there should be a different phrase?

Good afternoon! The correct form of saying would be: "Hello, you have submitted a request on our website." Additionally, we can use phrases like "made", "put in", or "sent" in place of "submitted" in the example above. However, the words "submitted" and "sent" seem to be more appropriate in this context.
- How can ESL teachers avoid being scammed through bogus work offers on social media platforms?

I don't think there is ever a 100% protection from scammers in any field. Of course, with time one tends to sniff the scammers easier than at first. But usually, common sense works for everyone. In other words, whatever looks too good to be true, usually is. On practical level, build as much protection around yourself as you can. That means, demand payment in advance, don't offer any credit card info that you wouldn't anyway and similar obvious stuff. Such steps should be enough to ward off most of potential scammers.

I started with one student who was satisfied with her progress during our lessons and she recommended me. Additionally a fellow teacher who liked my teaching methods recommended me for classes that she couldn't specialize in. So my answer is: be good at what you do
