Hi Bakang, its normal and very human to be scared. But the more you practice the better you become. I always keep the 5 Ps in mind: Proper preparation prevents poor performance. Design a lesson or two do to be ready ( or even more), list a couple of questions that you would like to ask the student to get to know them better. Be authentic, be you, no one will do it better than you can. Thats your superpower.

- Advice to a tutor new to this platform: how does one get students?

Hi there, I am also new here! I think the students have to choose you. When you get your first student here, make sure that you are 100% prepared, so they can choose you again. I know that you almost never know what to expect but what I do know is that you must always be calm and go with the flow, be confident and authentic. Good luck ladies, we are in the same boat. I know that with a positive mindset we can achieve anything. I have also started reading through Tutor studio, there is allot of useful information there.

- What are three common ways to express future intentions in English?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
Common means easy to understand, not difficult. Another word for ways is methods or approaches etc. I would use example sentences as my method, by giving example sentences and asking a student to share one of their own examples to see if they understand. I would also say a sentence and ask them to express future intentions with the sentence given. Breaking it down into smaller pieces and making it easy to understand. Example 1. I will (I will visit my family tomorrow) Example 2. I am going to (I am going to visit my family tomorrow) Example 3. Which is the present continuous tense - Which can be used for a confirmed future arrangement (I am visiting my family on Friday) When we talk about the future, these are all things that have not happened yet, but we intentionally plan for these things to happen. When we use the words, I will and I am going to, it means that there is certainty in it, it will definitely happen. This is expressing future intentions.
- How do you celebrate student achievements, big or small, in a fun way!

Have personalized certificates or badges and also have an achievement wall where the students will be reminded of their achievements and be motivated to work harder.
