The term comes from Latin and translates to "as if" or "somewhat like." In modern use, it typically describes something that is nearly or partially another thing, but not completely or wholly. E.g. The project is in a quasi-completed state; while most tasks are done, we still need to finalize the documentation.

Besides that, you ought to have swapped the comma for a question mark:) Absolutely! One sport that doesn't get as much attention in Croatia but has its own unique charm is handball. While sports like football and basketball dominate the scene, handball is actually one of the most successful sports for Croatia on the international stage:)

Teaching language effectively relies on both syntax and lexical methods. The syntax method guides students in forming grammatically accurate sentences, while the lexical method focuses on helping them speak naturally and smoothly. When you find a good balance between these two, it really boosts how well students learn and use the language:)

Which skill did you find the most challenging to learn while studying English: reading, listening, writing, or speaking, and why?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
The most difficult skill can differ significantly from one student to another. A lot of my new students find speaking to be particularly tough, often due to feelings of nervousness or a lack of confidence in their verbal communication abilities. They tend to be concerned about their pronunciation, making grammatical errors, or not having the appropriate vocabulary. Speaking demands quick thinking and spontaneity, which can be intimidating for those who are still developing their skills. To support my students, I prioritize speaking in my lessons by incorporating conversation starters and real-life situations that resonate with their interests:)
- What is the best way to learn practice pronunciation so that it is memorable and fun?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
I think tongue twisters are a fantastic tool for practicing tricky sounds and boosting fluency. It’s a good idea for your students to kick things off with simpler ones and then gradually move on to tougher phrases. Plus, getting them to record themselves and listen to their pronunciation compared to native speakers can be super helpful. This kind of self-check really opens their eyes to what they need to work on, in my view:)
- Is there any online page where to practice Italian language for free with native Italians?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
I think just doing a quick Google search for "LEARN practicing ITALIAN FOR FREE" should do the trick. But keep in mind, if you want solid help from a qualified tutor, it’s not going to be free—just like anything else in life. Usually, the more effort you put in, the more you’ll get out of it. Good luck with your language journey!
