- Is there any difference between two phrases "beloved ones" and "loved ones"?
Hello! I wonder if there is a huge difference between these two phrases. Can I say "loved ones" instead of "beloved ones"?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
Loved ones when referring to family and those close to you is correct. They would just be referred to as beloved in reference. ie: my beloved family. Typically beloved ones isn't used.
- Is it correct to say "I drop off the call" if I want to mean that I leave the call?
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
You should say I dropped off the call because it is something that you already did, it is in the past. Drop- present time/tense dropped past time/tense

Start test- Dear tutors! I need your advice. Should I change teacher and how to tell her about it?
I've been learning Spanish for almost 1 year with a tutor. But I don't see any progress in Spanish. Is it a matter of time, or should I change tutor? If it's better to change teacher, how to tell her about it? Appreciate your help.

MineskaFull-time Certified ESL tutor with holistic therapy background.Don't give up, learning a new language takes time. Perhaps you can ask the teacher to address specific target language or conversations if you haven't already done so. Also consider taking more frequent lessons. You really have to immerse yourself into a language when learning it. You need to start thinking in that language. Speak to yourself in that language and record yourself. Watch sitcoms/series/films in that language and wrote the words down to discuss with your teacher. Be patient and feel free to make suggestions to your teacher. You might be surprised how open they can be and what other interesting solutions you both could come up with. Enjoy!

- We always shall with I or We .
why can't we use shall in question for offers an other subject? For exampleshalltheyleave
crwdns2631929:0crwdne2631929:0
We use shall and will in future tense. The traditional rule of future tense says that shall is used in the first person (I shall eat lunch) and will is used in all other persons (you will eat lunch, she will eat lunch).

Alex HesseProfessional English teacher. Pronunciation and accent expert.Yeap, take lessons with me. Lol. On a serious note, check out what Dr. A Arguelles have to say, a very prestigious polyglot. You can find his videos on Youtube. I have followed him for years and I could summarise his teachings. Also, produce, don’t just passively read and study, write and speak as much as you can. Mastering 100 words allow you to combine them in marvellous ways. On the contrary, being weak in 1000 words is just a waste of time. Specially, write languages which do not make much sense phonetically such as English and Chinese. Spanish is easier to write but the verb conjugations are nightmarish, yet, everything is possible with time and the right mindset
- How much time do I need to improve my English from one level to another?

👋🏻 Hi Mary, This will vary from tutor to tutor, based on their teaching methods. As for my level and topic-based English lessons, it will take you between 40 and 45 one-hour lessons to move up from one level to another. I hope this helps. 😀
