I love debates. Role play but not when it’s reading lines but you give the students a prompt e.g you walk into a shop, and you buy something. What would you and the shopkeeper say. This is maybe for more advanced students as they have more vocab and better grammar. For beginners, role play reading the lines is better.

The phrase "turn down" has 2 different meanings so it depends which scenario you want to use it in. For the first, it means you dont want what is being offered to you. Or you reject something offered. Someone could offer you a apple and you dont want it. You turn down the offer of the apple. Or it can mean to lower music, lower the lights or brightness of your phone. You lower the music. You turn down the music so it is less loud.

A student getting distracted during the lesson has been my biggest challenge especially when teaching kids I overcame this by introducing pictures, props and singing in the lesson to make it more fun and engaging

I prefer to read a book over listening to an audiobook as I feel my attention span is almost non existent when it comes to sitting and listening to audio stories. I get somewhat of a thrill when reading an actual book.
